Answer:

\boxed{\bf~A.}

A little basic info:

Chromosomes are molecules of DNA that carry groups of genetic information. Some genes group up in the same chromosome, and this it what we'll see below.

Why are linked genes inherited together? What are they?

This question is more simple than it looks, since there's really little to explain. Linked genes, are genes inherited through the same chromosome:

→ When 2 genes tend to group-up on the same chromosome, they tend to be inherited together, but still, this doesn't happen always and the probablity of this happening is just slightly above 50%.

Remember:

Only genes that sit close together on a chromosome are likely to be inherited together, because if they're to far apart in the chromosome, the process of (homologous) recombination might separate them.

→ To make things simple, homologous recombination is when similar DNA moleculas are moved and recombined in a different way.

Hope it helped,

Explain how health care professionals treat unregulated (or abnormal) cellular growth in the body
Alexeev081 [22]

New cells are typically produced during cell division. Cell division is a complex process that is regulated and checked at many points. Due to varying factors, the cell regulation mechanism may become non functional and this usually result in abnormal cell growth and division.

An abnormal cell growth may be cancerous or non cancerous. The best thing to do when one notices an abnormal growth in his body is to go and see the doctor. The doctors will administer appropriate test in order to determine the type of tumor that is present. If the tumor is non cancerous it will be removed by minor surgery. In case the tumor is cancerous, appropriate treatments will depending on the part of the body where it is found, the stage of growth and nature of the cancerous cells.

One example of qualitative data that can be collected when using a microscope
Verizon [17]

Answer:

Qualitative and quantitative are two research technique that used in microbiology to collect the data information. These are very useful techniques.

Explanation:

There are several technique has been used in microbiology in collecting data. There are qualitative and quantitative collection of data. Qualitative data tells about data intent in yes or no form. The other techniques such as quantitative technique which provide information about the numerical value of data.

Qualitative technique is used in research would collect data on growth of the bacterial sample on the solid growth of the sample. It is used to assess whether the bacteria in the data is living or dead. It reveals the wealth of the qualitative information of data. The observation of microorganism in microscope get information whether the organism is in propelled motion or its dead.

Explain why cell contents and their environment are likely to freeze under extremely cold temperatures
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

A fall in temperature can also adversely affect cell and cell membranes. At low temperatures, the phospholipids' fatty acid tails are moving less and stiffer. This reduces the membrane's overall fluidity as well as reduces its permeability and perhaps limits the entry into the cells of vital chemicals like oxygen and glucose. Also, low temperatures can impede cell development by preventing cell size expansion.

In severe cases, such long term exposure to sub-freezing temperatures, fluid in the cell can start solidifying and can form crystals that breach the membrane and destroy the cell.
