Answer:

The statement which states that cell has a dual existence of being the smallest fundamental unit of life and can also be a part of a multi cellular organism is TRUE.

Explanation:

According to cell theory, cells is the basic unit of life that can be found in all living organisms. There are two basic types of cells, these are prokaryotic and eukartyotic cells. Prokaryotic cells are very primitive in nature and are usually found in very small living organism. These organisms usually exist as unicellular organisms. This means, that a unicellular organism is made up of only one cell, which carry out all the activities that the organism needs to survive.

Multi cellular organisms on the other hands are made up of many cells, which work together to perform diverse functions. Thus, cells have the capacity to exist alone as a single cell and as part of group of cells.

Reptile [31]
When the fish is put into fresh water, suddenly the concentration around them is very low and the water potential is extremely high. Water will now move from the relatively high water potential in the water to the relatively low water potential in the cells, the cells start to burst and the fish dies.

where the carbon atoms of acetyl coa end up and where the energy that was stored in acetyl coa ends up. krebs cycle
ruslelena [56]

Since each glucose molecule produces two acetyl-CoA molecules, the Krebs cycle must be completed twice to produce the four CO2, six NADH, two FADH2, and two ATPs.

  • Catabolic reactions occur within cells during cellular respiration. It is a biochemical process by which waste materials are removed and nutrients are broken down to generate energy, which is then stored in the form of ATP. The process of aerobic respiration needs oxygen.
  • The Krebs cycle, also known as the citric acid cycle, is the last step of oxidation for amino acids, lipids, and glucose.
  • Other than glucose, many animals rely on other substances for energy.
  • Protein's metabolic byproduct, amino acids, are deaminated and converted to pyruvate and other Krebs cycle intermediates.
  • They begin the cycle and are broken down, for example. On deamination, alanine turns into pyruvate, glutamate into -ketoglutarate, and aspartate into oxaloacetate.
  • Acetyl CoA is created when fatty acids are -oxidized and enters the Krebs cycle. It is the primary mechanism through which cells produce ATP. Complete nutrient oxidation results in the production of a significant amount of energy.

Suppose that zonosemata flies whose own wings had been clipped and reattached were attacked more frequently than untreated zonos
umka21 [38]

Answer:

All results for the experimental groups involving wing surgery would be invalid.

Explanation:

The experimental group involving wing surgery would not lead to correct results because it is a direct parameter that is impaired. This has been already clearly stated in the question that these flies are prone to attack compared to those which are not treated. There could be several reasons for that such as: (1) the reattachment would not have been successful, and/or (2) the flies' health (fitness) status would have been compromised.

On the other hand, it is not correct that all experimental groups will lead to incorrect results because the untreated flies were not attacked (or less attacked). Similarly, there is no condition given for houseflies rather only zonosemata flies. So 3rd option is also not possible. Finally, the reliability of the results would definitely change because the treated flies would be more attacked and lead to a clear difference in results.
