Which of the following seas has almost completely disappeared because of irrigation in the area
Tamiku [17]

The following sea has almost completely disappeared because of irrigation in the area

The Aral Sea

Explanation:

 • The Aral Sea is actually a huge lake, located between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in Central Asia.
 • In recent decades, much of the water which used to flow into the Aral Sea has been taken for growing crops. As a result, the Aral Sea has shrunk dramatically. Nearly two-thirds of the lake has vanished since 1970.
 • Once the fourth largest lake in the world, Central Asia's shrinking Aral Sea has reached a new low, thanks to decades-old water diversions for irrigation and a more recent drought.
 • Satellite imagery released this week by NASA shows that the eastern basin of the freshwater body is now completely dry.
 • Today, more people than ever rely on irrigation from rivers that should instead flow into the sea, and the impact of irrigation is compounded by another new factor: climate change. This makes the Aral Sea very sensitive to variations in its water balance caused either by climate or by humans.

The "broken windows" theory suggests it is appropriate to allow a neighborhood to deteriorate if the neighborhood will not parti
tankabanditka [31]

The broken windows theory is a theory of criminology. So the statement is FALSE

Explanation

The broken windows theory argues that in a neighborhood where crime is seen as normal and is increasingly prevalent the breeding of criminals becomes much easier. Like in a house with a broken window, breaking in is easier unless that house if fixed by the people living in the house themselves.

It does not however justify allowing such a neighborhood to be on its own but merely discuss a phenomena that exists in such places.

Which ethnic traditions are on the main influences on brazilian culture today?
pashok25 [27]

Answer:

Many possible answers ( read below )

Explanation:

The Brazilian culture is one of the world’s most varied and diverse. This is due to its being a melting pot of nationalities, as a result of centuries of European domination as well as slavery, which brought hordes of African migrants across Brazil’s borders to live in and influence the local cultures with their ancient customs and ideas. The European settlers also brought ideas, innovations and belief systems with them, shaping the local societies significantly. All of these different influences have meant that the modern-day Brazilian culture is unique and very complex.

Much of Brazil's international reputation is centered around local traditions and celebrations such as capoeira, the national sport, and the festivities of Carnaval. From the cult of soccer to Catholic holidays to the rituals of the local religion, Candomble, Brazil's traditions are both secular and sacred
