The pelvic blades rotated inward supports bipedalism which is the evolutionary change and adaptation of the human genus <em>Homo</em> when compared to the quadrupedal primates. The overall structure and orientation of the pelvic bones supports bipedalism.

The pelvic blades of the new fossil can be compared with proven fossils of quadrupedal primates which can reveal the difference of the structure of pelvic bones in bipedalism and quadrupedalism.  The pelvic blades of human genus<em> Homo</em> are short, broad and curved forward whereas the pelvic blades of the quadrupedal primates are tall, narrow and flat.

Another method to prove that the new fossil belongs to human genus <em>Homo</em> is by comparison of DNA sequence with the known sample.

The fossils are the preserved remains of plants and animals. There can different types of fossils like the body of an organism or the traces. The traces fossils are just the signs like footprints, tracks or the burrow of an organism.
