Answer:

d. Researchers said the flu shot reduced the risk of developing the flu when it actually didn't.

Explanation:

A Type I Error can be defined as the error that occurs in hypothesis when a researcher rejects the opposite of his hypothesis even though the opposite of his hypothesis is correct or true. Type I Error can also be called a False positive.

In the question above an hypothesis was carried out by researchers to determine if getting a flu shot would reduce the risk of developing a flu.

The truth is " Getting a flu shot actually reduces the risk of developing a flu"

But the researcher hypothesis test result that would result in a Type I error says "Researchers said the flu shot reduced the risk of developing the flu when it actually didn't".

This result of hypothesis test of the researchers above is a rejection of truth (the truth is an opposite of the researchers hypothesis test) and it would result in a Type I Error.

Answer:

d. Researchers said the flu shot reduced the risk of developing the flu when it actually didn't.

Explanation: The rejection of true null hypothesis based on experimental procedures is called Type 1 error.

The primary aim of the investigation was to find out if a flu shot guide against  flu infection or not. Therefore to arrive at a conclusion,  this  true null hypothesis must be tested, and evidences of the effects of flu shot on development of flu could be determined.

Therefore after testing;evidences arrive at will  determine if flu shot reduces the risk or no effect at all. However, if there is  no significant evidence to support the potency of flu shot, and it was jumped to conclusion that its actually reduces the risk of development,(that is null hypothesis was rejected) then the basis for the test- which is  to test the null hypothesis has been defeated, thus Type 1 error has been committed .

When the researcher concluded that flu shot actually reduced the risk, when actually it was the contrary, he had rejected the objective of the true  null hypothesis .Besides there was no probability value to show that this was below 0.05 confidence value.

You are a sleep scientist working on developing a drug for people who lack the proper amount of sleep hormone. What are you look
zmey [24]

Answer:

melatonin

Explanation:

Oxytocin is called a peptide hormone and  is normally produced in the hypothalamus, it's released by the posterior pituitary gland. It  usually plays a role in social bonding, reproduction, childbirth, and the period after childbirth.

Serotonin is a monoamine neurotransmitter. It plays a vital role in feelings of well-being and happiness. it helps in mental cognition, reward, learning, memory, and numerous physiological processes.

The prostaglandins are groups of physiologically active lipid compounds called eicosanoids having diverse hormone-like effects in animals. It participate in a wide range of body functions such as the contraction and relaxation of smooth muscle, the dilation and constriction of blood vessels, control of blood pressure etc.

Melatonin is a hormone that regulates the sleep–wake cycle. It is primarily released by the pineal gland. As a supplement, it is often used for the short-term treatment of trouble sleeping.

Definitely, if the sleep scientist is working on developing a drug for people who lack proper amount of sleep hormone, He should be working on Melatonin.

Explica el impacto del desarrollo de las técnicas moleculares en los sistemas de clasificación de los organismos.
docker41 [41]

Answer:

Organisms exhibit different types of adaptations as a means of survival. What type of adaptations do the caterpillar and the pla
Serjik [45]

Answer:

The type of adaptations exhibited by both organisms depends the effects each exhibited on the other.

When natural selection acts on the variation passed from generations to generations in a population, the organism involved are best fitted to survive in their habitats. The Ability of species of organisms to be best fitted against the selective pressure,so that it is naturally selected in the population is called adaptation. It is one of the driving force of evolution.

in this scenario the caterpillar,is camouflage by its green color, which blend with that of the leaves. And therefore ensure the escape from the predators e,g birds, spiders, reptiles This is an example of structural adaptation.Since it is the structural characteristics of the caterpillar that adapted it to its environment.

Likewise in the case of the plants, despite harbouring the caterpillar it ensures it does not destroy it physiological make up,by releasing chemical substances to  keep away the organisms. This is called physiological adaptation, because certain biochemical substances are diffused by the plants in response to the caterpillar (stimulus), to keep off the organisms  away,to ensure the survival of the leaves.Since physiology is the study of function of an organisms, changes in biochemical and cellular reactions must be responsible for the biochemical substances produced.
