There were many events that resulted in change in Europe and Asia during the late Middle Ages. During this time period, many new universities were created. These universities educated people in a wide variety of subjects, including science, medicie , astronomy and philosophy. New buildings, such as cathedrals, were also built. Moreover, many cities grew, and these became centers of business, trade and learning.
