Answer:

Reverse transcription, DNA replication, transcription (in RNA virus), transcription, translation.

Explanation:

The process during which RNA is used as a template to make a complementary DNA strand is referred to as reverse transcription. It involves a series of reactions in which reverse transcriptase enzyme catalyses the synthesis of DNA. It is through this process that the Human Immune Virus is able to infect humans.

DNA replication is process during which the DNA produces a copy of itself. It involves a series of enzyme-catalyzed reactions during which the double helix structure of the DNA is unwound and each strand serves as a template for the synthesis of complementary strands. Eventually, two double helix DNA is formed each consisting of one old strand and one new strand.

Transcription or mRNA synthesis in some RNA virus involves using RNA as a template to synthesize another RNA. It is a process in viral production/replication during which mRNA is used to instruct the host's cell to make virus components.

Except in some RNA virus, transcription generally involves the use of DNA template to synthesize RNA. During this process, an enzyme known as RNA polymerase link nucleotide together using a DNA strand as template. The genes in DNA is encoded into the RNA in one of the steps that eventually lead to gene expression.

The encoded message in RNA is eventually translated as protein in an enzyme mediated process known as translation or protein synthesis. During protein synthesis, the condons on mRNA are translated into their respective amino acids and peptide bonds are formed in between these amino acids leading to the production of protein.

If an atom has 15 electrons, how many electrons are in the n=1 energy level?
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

In the n=1 energy level, the atom has 2 electrons

Explanation:

Electrons orbit the nucleus of an atom in multiple rings (energy levels). The first ring of the electron can only hold 2 electrons. After that, electrons are added to the second ring. Excluding the first ring, all other rings can hold a maximum of 8 electrons.

For example, Oxygen is an atom with 6 electrons. The first energy level contains 2 electrons, and the second energy level contains 4 electrons. The second energy level has room for up to 4 more electrons.

In your example of an atom with 15 electrons, there would be 2 electrons in the first ring, 8 electrons in the second ring, and 5 electrons in the third and final ring.

To summarize, all atoms have a first energy level containing 2 electrons, and all other energy levels can contain 8 electrons. This is true no matter the number of electrons.

Which organelle is found in both plants and animals:
MrMuchimi

Answer:

The correct answer is E. The organelle that is found in both plants and animals is the Mitochondria.

Explanation:

Mitochondria are cellular organelles responsible for supplying most of the energy necessary for cellular activity (cellular respiration). They act as energy plants of the cell and synthesize ATP at the expense of metabolic fuels (glucose, fatty acids and amino acids). The mitochondria has an outer membrane permeable to ions, metabolites and many polypeptides. This is because it contains proteins that form pores called porins or VDAC (voltage-dependent anionic channel), which allow the passage of molecules up to 10 kDa of mass and an approximate diameter of 2 nm.

How does farming affect water, land, and air?
eimsori [14]
 • Excessive irrigation can affect water quality by causing erosion, transporting nutrients, pesticides, and heavy metals, or decreasing the amount of water that flows naturally in streams and rivers.
 • Soil erosion due to land clearance and grazing. contaminated soils due to pesticides or overuse of fertilizers.
 • Air emissions from livestock operations make up 14.5 percent of global greenhouse gas. Livestock farming emits several greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change, and may also be subject to the effects of climate change due to increased animal stress in dealing with rising temperatures.
