Answer:

The correct answer is option A,  Molecules are moving against a concentration gradient.

Explanation:

In an  active transportation, the molecules move from a region of low concentration to a region of high concentration (which reverse to the natural phenomena) with the assistance of energy in the form ATP and enzymes. In most of the organism, sodium –potassium voltage pumps are required to move elements across the membrane using energy provided by ATP.

Answer: The correct answer is A. Molecules are moving against a concentration gradient.

Active transport is a process in which molecules move from a medium of low concentration gradient to a medium of high concentration gradient across the cell membrane. Since molecules move against the concentration gradient, therefore, this process requires energy.

Active transport is primarily divided into two types-

Primary active and secondary active transport.

In primary active transport, metabolic energy is used directly ( Example- hydrolysis of ATP)

In secondary active transport, energy is utilized by the movement of one molecule along the concentration gradient. This movement is coupled with another molecule, which moves against the gradient.

Describe the relationship between organic compounds, nucleotides, RNA, and a universal genetic code.
Juliette [100K]
The first organic compounds may have been nucleotides and make up nucleotides. Nucleotides bond together to form RNA or DNA. RNA and DNA make up genetic codes. So all of these make up each other in a sort of chain or order.

A bandicoot, sea lion and a zebra have similarities and differences in their body structures. What does this info about these st
sergey [27]

Answer:

First off, the info tells me that bandicoots, sea lions, and zebras could have all shared a common ancestor at one point in time and then developed differences to be better suited to their respective environments. Further, the similarities in their body structures cannot be attributed to convergent evolution (evolution that produces analogous structures) because the three organisms grow in very different environments; thus it had to have come from homology (common ancestry). Having said that, this tells us that the ancestors most likely had the trait of whatever is shared amongst the body structures of bandicoots, sea lions, and zebras, as this was the trait they passed on. Hope this is helpful :)
