Alright, so I'm not too good with probability, but I have a general idea for what the answers may be. But, please do fact check this before submitting it as I <em>cannot </em>guarantee the accuracy.

As for the answer, I think that these are the right answers:

(1) Landing on a blue or red space on a spinner with 1 blue space and 1 red space.

(4) Drawing a red card from a stack of 20 red cards.

(5) Getting a heads or a tails when flipping a coin.

I find these to be the answers because there's no variation within them. You'll always land on red or blue if the options on the spinner are only red and blue. You'll always pull a red card from a stack of red cards. And you'll always get heads or tails when flipping a coin. The others are incorrect because there's a possibility you won't get the given selection. So the conclusion would be that those 3 ^ are right because a probability of 1 means that you're guaranteed to get a certain outcome.

SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

Therefore a numeric equation using negatives can be written as

   -11.94  = -1.94x  \therefore x =  \frac{-11.94}{-1.99}  = 6\hspace{0.1cm}days

Step-by-step explanation:

i) Amount <u>owed</u> by Steve = $11.94

ii) For every large coffee Steve has a <u>debit</u> of $1.99 applied to his account

iii) Let x be the number of days it has been since Steve last paid his bill.

    therefore a numeric equation using negatives can be written as

   -11.94  = -1.94x  \therefore x =  \frac{-11.94}{-1.99}  = 6\hspace{0.1cm}days.

)) What is the area of the shaded region?<br>
ahrayia [7]

The area of a triangle can be found by using the formula A = bh/2

To find the area of the shaded region (the green section), we can find the area of both triangles and subtract.

Large triangle:

A = 28*36/2

A = 1008/2

A = 504km²

Small triangle:

A = 15*19/2

A = 285/2

A = 142.5km²

Subtract both triangles:

504 - 142.5 = 361.5km²

Therefore, the area of the shaded region is <u>361.5</u>km²

Best of Luck!
