zloy xaker [14]

Explanation:

A decrease in the biodiversity due to deforestation affects the biosphere significantly.

Forest trees are a huge part of any biodiverse region especially in the tropical areas.

  • Arboreal organisms like bats and squirrels will lose their habitat to deforestation in the tropical region. Such organism will find it difficult to survive.
  • Fruits and food from certain wide plants species will become unavailable for organisms that depends on them. This is very scathing on lives that depends on them.
  • Forest trees acts as wind breaks. In their absence, tropical storms will have more damaging effect on the area.
  • Deforestation can lead to desertification.
  • Erosion of rich and fertilize nutrients in soil away results from deforestation.
  • Reduce level of oxygen in the air because plants produce oxygen as bye product of photosynthesis.
