The wave energy travels to that direction which is perpendicular to the direction of the disturbance.

Explanation:

Wave waters are transverse in nature. The movement of the water in up and down motion is known as the disturbance. The wave water moves in that direction that is perpendicular to the direction of the disturbance. Thus in this case the medium is the water. The energy that is released are moved outwards in all the other directions from that source.

If the displacement of the molecules is perpendicular to that direction in which the wave is travelling is called the transverse wave.If the displacement of the molecules is parallel to the direction in which the wave is travelling is called longitudinal wave.

Answer:

To get you to comply, she may use: b. a <u>sanction</u>

Explanation:

In sociology, sanctions refer to any action or expression indicating approval or disapproval of somebody else's behavior and intended to ensure compliance with social norms. They are forms of social control, and can be positive (when they reward accepted behavior) or negative (when they punish unaccepted behavior). Therefore, to get you to use a full-length dress at her wedding, your friend may use sanction, more specifically, negative action to discourage your nonconformity to the norm.

What is one way that the "code of the street" is supported by mainstream corporations?
Amanda [17]

The neighborhood structural inequality and social disorganization fosters the development of a code of the street, or a 'might makes right mentality' that legitimizes the use of violence. This narrative is very close to the people and they identify with it more. Since the corporations want to attract people, they go with the narrative that is the most popular. The code of the street also promotes 'the survival of the fittest' and other myths. Great examples for this are ad campaigns for Nike or Supreme.
