FIND LOT AREA:
Area = length * width
A= 18 feet * 45 feet
A= 810 feet squared

FIND # OF YARDS:
1 yard= 3 feet

Divide number of square feet by number of feet per yard.
Yards= 810 ÷ 3
Yards= 270

FIND PRICE OF SOD:
multiply number of yards by price per square yard.
Price= 270 yards * $12/yard
Price= $3,240

ANSWER: Cindy will pay $3,240 to cover the lot with sod.

Hope this helps! :)

While sailing on Lake Erie, captain Sherman spots the top of a lighthouse at a 15 degrees angle of elevation. A navigation chart
lys-0071 [83]
From the right triangle that can be formed from the top of the lighthouse, to the boat, we can see that the the height of the lighthouse is the opposite side of the angle of elevation. The distance, d, is therefore calculated through the equation,
                             tan 15° = d / 220 ft
The value of d is equal to 58.95 ft.

At a family reunion, Lauren met up with 2 of her cousins; Kali and Allison. She realized that there were 3 generations of cousin
Andrew [12]

Answer:

The age of three girls as

The age of Allison's is 8 years

The age of Kali is 48 years

The age of Lauren's is 24 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Let The age of Allison's = A  years

The age of Lauren's = L  years

The age of Kali's = K years

Now, According to question

The sum of total ages of the three girl's = 80 years

I.e A + L + K = 80 years

And  ,

The age of Allison's = \frac{1}{3} of  The age of Lauren's

I.e A = \frac{1}{3} × L

And ,

The age of Kali's = 2 times The age of Lauren's

I.e K = 2 × L

∴ \frac{1}{3} × L + L + 2 × L = 80

Or,  \frac{1}{3}  L + 3 L = 80

Or, \frac{10}{3}  L = 80

So, 10 L = 3 × 80

∴   L = \frac{240}{10}

I.e L = 24

The age of Lauren's = 24 years

Again ,

K = 2 × L

Or, k = 2 × 24

∴   k = 48

The age of Kali = 48 years

Similarly

A = \frac{1}{3} × L

Or, A =  \frac{1}{3} × 24

∴   A = 8 years

The age of Allison's = 8 years

Hence The age of three girls as

The age of Allison's is 8 years

The age of Kali is 48 years

The age of Lauren's is 24 years     Answer
