The Medici House is a banking family and a political dynasty that begins to be exhibited as Cosmo de 'Medici in the Republic of Florence in the first half of the 15th century. They had political influence in creating an environment where humanism flourished, and were an inspiration for the Renaissance in Italy. Their influence was not only limited to Italy.
