The assassination of Julius Caesar was the result of a conspiracy by many Roman senators led by Gaius Cassius Longinus, Decimus Junius Brutus Albinus, and Marcus Junius Brutus.[1][2] They stabbed Julius Caesar to death in a location adjacent to the Theatre of Pompey on the Ides of March (March 15), 44 BC. Caesar was the dictator of the Roman Republic, having recently been declared dictator perpetuo by the Senate of the Roman Republic. This declaration made several senators fear that Caesar wanted to overthrow the Senate in favor of tyranny. The conspirators were unable to restore the Roman Republic, and the ramifications of the assassination led to the Liberators' civil war and ultimately to the Principate period of the Roman Empire.

What was an effect of the United States entry into World War I?
MariettaO [177]

Answer: The entry of the United States was the turning point of the war, because it made the eventual defeat of Germany possible. It had been foreseen in 1916 that if the United States went to war, the Allies' military effort against Germany would be upheld by U.S. supplies and by enormous extensions of credit.

The Maya have been recognized for all of the following cultural achievements except __________.
gulaghasi [49]

Answer: C. the carving of huge stone head sculptures

Explanation:

The carving of huge colossal heads is attributed to the Olmecs, a civilization of ancient Mesoamerica that was the predecessor of the Mayas, Incas and Aztecs.

It should be noted that these sculptures had mostly features that did not match the Amerindian features of the inhabitants of those lands at that time, which still represents a mystery to be solved.

Therefore, the correct option is C.
