1) Sumer had a surplus of food, which meant that they had extra food that they stored for worse times,often creating huts just for that purpose they also created their own separate colonies  and the people there shared work
2)<span>Mesopotamia was located in a area in which the rivers would flood easily making it easy for the crops and food to wash away because of one bad flood but the area had extremely good soil

Travel helps bring new ideas and concepts into different parts of the world.(For example Arabic Numbers (0-9) were introduced to Europe by travelers) and Trade helps bring new skills. War,is bad but still helps civilizations to expand and spread to different places.
