1(a) DNA is replicated by separating into two strands at the replication fork. (b) DNA polymerase joins individual nucleotides to produce a new strand of DNA and proofreads each new strand.

2(a) DNA in prokaryotic cells is found in the form of a single circular chromosome in the cytoplasm; DNA in eukaryotic cells is found in the nucleus, packaged into bigger, individual chromosomes. (b) If damaged DNA is replicated, the cell that receives it may have altered genes, which could lead to devastating consequences.

For instance, during the concentration of salt in water affects the rate of osmosis because it will determine how much water should be transported or excreted or to be taken in. The cellular process is keen to the salt concentration of its system thus making sure to maintain balance between the salt concentration the right amount of water must also be in its area of release for any expected occurences.

Based on the chemical equation, use the drop-down menu to choose the coefficients that will balance the chemical
s2008m [1.1K]

Answer:1Zn+2HCl------1ZnCl2+1H2

Explanation:

A single replacement reaction is one in which a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its salt solution. Thus zinc can easily lose electrons as compared to hydrogen and result in the formation of zinc chloride and hydrogen.

According to the law of conservation of mass, mass can neither be created nor be destroyed. Thus the mass of products has to be equal to the mass of reactants. The number of atoms of each element has to be same on reactant and product side. Thus chemical equations are balanced.
