Answer:

Colonization ended in the small battalion of indigenous soldiers (the Ascaris) (1935-1936), which had not only Coptic and Muslim Christians, but also Eritreans and Ethiopians because, as it was losing men as it advanced on Addis Ababa, others arrived - who had That it was our enemies - who asked to join, and I never had any reason to regret welcoming them to my battalion. And not only this. The newcomers were also welcomed by those who were already there, that is, the Eritreans, with the sole condition that the gallons of command were a monopoly of these. And not only because of the rights acquired because of the years of service, but also because, after half a century of dependence on Italy, their level of education was superior to that of the subjects of the Negus.

Explanation:

I am well aware that these statements will qualify me as colonialist, imperialist and the like, but it is true. And it is also the only thing that explains Eritrea's resistance to recognizing itself as part of the former Negus empire and now, after its (almost) independence has been recognized, it explains the hostility towards Addis Ababa

What actions did people take to survive, cope with poverty, pay bills, remain in their homes or on their farms
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

As a result of the impact of the Great Depression, millions of Americans lost their jobs and saw their lifestyle affected. Practically everybody in the country had to adapt to a different life in those terrible years. In the middle of the USA, besides facing the effects of the depression, farmers also faced droughts; thousands of farmers and their families, with no income and many debts, moved west with the hope to start again. Women had traditional roles at home, but as material difficulties mounted, many women had to look for jobs outside home and sometimes, they had to take jobs formerly done by men, joining the workforce and thus bringing change in that area; though their life was already hard before the depression, African Americans were hit hard, too. They took jobs in dagerous places such as foundries and in dangerous conditions, they took jobs as domestic servants to white people, they were labor for railroad construction, steel mills and coal mines.

How does the article describes the decision to attack and the troops firing on fort sumter?
Anna007 [38]

Fort Sumter was legally South Carolina's property, and the Confederate government had exercised much "forbearance" to achieve a fair agreement with the federal government. The Lincoln government thwarted these plans by dispatching "a hostile navy" to Sumter. This attack is referred as the battle of fort summer.

Two days or less later, the fort was abandoned. There was no fatality. The Civil War, the bloodiest struggle in American history, began with this battle.

The Lincoln government did not fight because it supported slavery; Lincoln chose to do so rather than allow the Southern states to secede. Instead, he believed it was his sacred responsibility as President of the United States to do whatever it took him to keep the Union intact.
