Plum pudding is a tradition Christmas dessert in the United Kingdom and many superstitions arose around it. Many people would place tokens in their pudding, as it was said to bring luck to the person who had the piece of pudding which contained a token, either a coin or a button, as mentioned above. If a single man was to find a token in his pudding, it was said he would stay single for the next year.
