whose grave does the speaker pass in emily dickinson's poem "712" ("because i could not stop for death")? a. a horse's b. her ow
oksian1 [2.3K]
I believe that the best answer for this question would be B, "her own." She and Death stop at a burial ground for her, which is marked with a headstone. This entire poem is about her dealing with Death after passing away. She views the world from a distant perspective and eventually life from a distant perspective. Hope this helps.

Which sentence contains a properly punctuated and capitalized direct quotation?
nydimaria [60]
The sentence which contains a properly punctuate and capitalized direct quotation is C. "Watch how that hummingbird flits from flower to flower," said Diane. Quotation marks always go around the dialogue when writing a direct quote. Capitalization rules still apply much in the same way as they do in regular sentence writing, in that you must capitalize the first letter of the first word at the beginning of a sentence. Punctuation that separates the quote from the speaker must be included with the quotation marks to show that there is a separation.

Which of these sentences from Jack London's "The Human Drift" is an example of naturalist writing?
MatroZZZ [7]

As we know naturalist writing is a literary genre that originated as a literary movement in the nineteenth century. It could be found in literature, film, theater and art. It was referred to as a type of extreme realism.

Naturalism suggests pessimism in a philosophical way using scientific techniques to depict human beings as objectives and impartial characters. It also concludes that natural forces are what determine character’s decisions.

Answer: C) In the misty younger world we catch glimpses of phantom races, rising, slaying, finding food, building rude civilizations, decaying, falling under the swords of stronger hands, and passing utterly away.

I hope it helps, Regards.
