Answer:

b. False

Explanation:

John promised to pay Bill if he painted the garage by Friday but John called him to cancel the deal before he began to do the task and he didn't even buy the supplies. So, John won't be obligated to pay Bill $100 if he buys the supplies and paints John's garage because John let him know that the deal was off before he had bought anything. According to that, the statement is false.

ElenaW [278]

After the attacks, Booth was on the run. He and a man working for him named David Herold escaped to the home of a man by the name of Samuel A. Mudd and rested/hid there for a few days. After they left the Mudd residence, they jumped from house to house, searching for shelter. After being turned down by one family, the men spent a few days hiding inside a pine thicket. Booth and Herold traveled from state to state and town to town trying to hide from the manhunt. Eventually, the soldiers tracked him down and killed him where he was hiding in a tobacco barn at a farmhouse in Virginia.

These events are characteristics of the Nullification Crisis.

The Nullification Crisis was a confrontation between the state of South Carolina and the federal government over the attempt to declare null and void within the state. The doctrine gained strength with the Southern bitterness over the Tariff of 1828 and the Tariff of 1832 - that slightly modified 1828 one. The South Carolina legislature adopted the Ordinance of Nullification that declared the tariffs bull and void.  In 1831 President Andrew Jackson issued his “Proclamation to the People of South Carolina” asserting the supremacy of federal government and warning that disunion by armed force is treason”.

Anika [276]
The Final End of Athenian Democracy. A year after their defeat of Athens in 404 BC, the Spartans allowed the Athenians to replace the government of the Thirty Tyrants with a new democracy. Only a decade later Sparta had been reduced to a shadow of its former self. But Thebes' dominance of Greece would be short-lived.
