Total = 51 + 23 + 12 = 86

Sparingly + frequently = 23 + 51 = 74

So 74/86 convert into percentage 86.05%

Answer is 86.05%

Hope this helps.

Answer: 86.05%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:  A company that makes mobile applications surveyed every 10th customer to learn more about how often customers are using one of the company’s new apps.

Number of users  who use the new app frequently = 51

Number of users  who use the new app sparingly = 23

Number of users  who do not use the new app = 12

Number of users  who use the new app either frequently or sparingly =

51+23=74

Total users = 51+23+12=86

Now, the predicted percentage of customers who use the new app either frequently or sparingly is given by :_

\dfrac{74}{86}\times100=86.046511\approx86.05\%

Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

y=\frac{1}{8}

Step-by-step explanation:x_{3}

\frac{1}{5}y+\frac{1}{8}=\frac{3}{20}

multiply both sides

8y+5=6

move the constant to the right

8y=6-5

calculate

8y=1

divide both sides

y=\frac{1}{8} or y=0.125

A warehouse contains ten printing machines, five of which are defective. a company selects four of the machines at random, think
Yuri [45]

This kind of situation is modelled by Bernoulli's formula. It applies everytime there is an experiments with two possible outcomes repeated n times. Each repetition is independent on the others, and we know the probability of the two outcomes p and 1-p. If we want the outcome with probability p to appear k times, the probability is

\binom{n}{k}p^k(1-p){n-k}

In your case, you run the "experiment" 4 times (you choose 4 printers) and want that all of them to be non-defective. A printer is non-defective with probability 1/2, since there are 5 defective and 5 non-defective printers.

So, our model is built with n = k = 4, p = 1-p = 1/2. The probability is

P=\binom{4}{4}\left(\cfrac{1}{2}\right)^4\left(\cfrac{1}{2}\right)^0  = 1 \cdot \left(\cfrac{1}{2}\right)^4 \cdot 1 = \cfrac{1}{16}

zloy xaker [14]

Answer: Stratified random sampling

Step-by-step explanation:

In statistics, stratified sampling is defined as a method of sampling in which sampling is done from a population which can be partitioned into subgroups known as strata.

Example of a stratified sampling

In statistical surveys, when subgroup in an overall population differs, it maybe of great advantageous to sample each subgroup (stratum) independently. Stratification is the process of dividing members of the population into homogeneous subgroups or subpopulations before sampling is made. The strata should define a partition of the population. That is, it has to be collectively exhaustive and mutually: all element in the population can only be assigned to one and only one stratum. Then systematic sampling or the simple random sampling is applied within each stratum. The main aim is to increase the precision of the sample by minimizing sampling error.
