B. The citizens of a country should be allowed to decide how that country is governed.

The 1848 Revolutions were inspired by the Enlightenment and the successful revolutions beginning with the American Revolution.

The 1848 Revolutions included France, Austria-Hungary Empire, Italian and German Unification. In all of these revolutions nationalism and increased say in the government were the motives for new country formations.
