A student conducts an experiment to see how music affects plant growth. The student obtains four identical plants. Each one is p

otted in the same type of soil and receives the same amount of sunlight and water each day. Plant A listens to classical music for three hours each day. Plant B listens to rock music for three hours each day. Plant C listens to country music for three hours each day. Plant D does not listen to any music at all.
13. Based on the experiment in the scenario, which visual aid would be most helpful in showing the change in the plants' heights over time?

Answer:

Plant A listens to classical music for three hours each day

Explanation:

 • Music affect plant growth of plants through the vibrations that it creates to the sound waves.Classical music causes more pressure to the sound waves causing vigorous vibrations which is picked up by the plants speeding up the protoplasmic movement in the cells.
 • The vibrations causes movement of the plant cells which speed up growth of the plants by stimulating the plants to produce more nutrients enabling them to germinate having more leaves, greater in size and other improved characteristics which means the plant's genetic chromosomes were changed.
 • Also in the soil is able to produce good fungi and bacteria encouraging better root development due to healthy vines resulting to vigorous growth and better fruit.
 • Moreover the plants are able to receive special attention and care from the farmer thus enhancing faster growth.

Answer:

The correct answer is the kind of music each plant listens to.

Explanation:

A variable refers to any condition or element whose value gets modifies in an experiment. A variable can take place in distinct quantities or types, and three kinds of variable, that is, dependent, independent, and controlled can be witnessed in an experiment. In the experiment mentioned, the kind of music each plant is listening to is the variable.

It is an independent variable whose value is modifying as it prevails in distinct kinds and it is the one that the student is using to witness its effect on the growth of the plant. In the experiment, this variable that differs also generate distinct effects or outcomes.

What is a possible benefit of regulating the process of cell differentiation?
8_murik_8 [283]
It can replace, repair or be a new type of cell to benefit the host.

Cellular differentiation occurs throughout the cell development of a multi-cellular organism. It occurs when the cell changes from a simply zygote into a complex system of tissues and cell types.

Stems cells are cells which have the potential to develop into many different cell types in the body during early life and growth. Stem cells serve as internal repair system in many tissues. When stem cells divide while undergoing cell differentiation, it can either retain being a stem cell or become another type of cell like muscle cell, brain cell, or red blood cell.

What is one change that would cause more water to evaporate from a stream?
Svetllana [295]

Evaporation

Explanation:

Evaporation is one change that would cause more water to evaporate from a stream.

Evaporation is a phase change in which liquid is changed into its gaseous form.

 • When a substance is heated from solid to liquid, it melts.
 • After melting, additional heat causes a phase change that allows for the liquid to change to gases.
 • In the water cycle, the sun provides heat energy that causes surface water in streams to be heated.
 • This leads to evaporation of the surface water into the atmosphere where they can be condensed to form precipitation.

What is “the cell cycles” role in human cells.
Allisa [31]
The most basic function of the cell cycle is to duplicate accurately the vast amount of DNA in the chromosomes and then segregate the copies precisely into two genetically identical daughter cells.
