"Sydney saw the panic and tears in her sister's eyes as she gave her a hug and directed her to the basement stairs," this is because she was caring and showed concern and comfort for her sister and was keeping her safe by directing her to the basement although she had felt the same fear as her sister did.

Which sentence best demonstrates the use of an emdtional appeal in the adapted excerpt from John F. Kennedy's "Inaugural Address
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

"Americans born in this country, changed by ...has always been committed..."

Explanation:

The reason why this is a use of an emotional appeal is that it focuses on the pride that Americans have and the strong connection they have to their country. Another appeal to emotion would be, "...we are the heirs of that first revolution." a sense of strong American pride is shown here as well because of the emotional appeal of perseverance against the odds to fight for what you believe in.

Which of the following will help you build cohesion in your paragraphs?
hram777 [196]

Answer:

B. Sentences that build upon one another.

Explanation:

Cohesion is achieved when a paragraph flows easily and each new idea is connected to the previous one. This can only be achieved if the sentences we are adding build upon one another. A paragraph that is cohesive looks more professional and conveys ideas more clearly. Moreover, when your text is cohesive, it is less likely for the reader to get lost or confused while reading it.

In "A culinary Wasteland," what argument made in fast food nation is Crossen refuting with the statement above? He largely ignor
lakkis [162]
I believe the correct answer is B. The quick production of fast food has a negative effect on the quality and safety of the products.
The statement that the author used is talking about the speed that takes these products to be prepared, and option B is the only statement which even remotely mentions the preparation speed, which is why I'd choose that option as the correct answer.
