Nembutal is a barbiturate which is a sedative, barbiturates are non-selective central nervous system depressants. It is lethal in high doses. A tranquilizer/sedative is a sleeping pill but are also used as an anti-anxiety drug as they have calming effects on patients, however taken in high doses can result in accidental/purposeful death.
