Slope of TV = Slope of PR
(y + 1)/(x - 5) = (0 + 4)/(-10 + 4)
(y + 1)/(x - 5) = -4/6
6(y + 1) = -4(x - 5)
6y + 6= -4x + 20
equation #1:  6y + 4x = 14

Slope of RT = Slope of PV
(y - 0)/(x + 10) = (-1 + 4)/(5 + 4)
(y - 0)/(x + 10) = 3/9
3(y - 0) = 9(x + 10)
3y  = 9x +90
equation #2:  3y  = 9x +90

<span>We now we have 2 equations with 2 variables, and we can use any method (substitution, linear combination, matrix) to solve for the x and y coordinates.
</span>
equation #1:  6y + 4x = 14
equation #2:  3y - 9x  = 90

Multiply equation 2 by -2

equation #1:    6y + 4x = 14
equation #2:  -6y + 18x  = -180

Add together Eq. 1 & 2

22x = -166
x = -7.5

6y +4(-7.5) = 14
6y = 44
y = 7 1/3

(-7 1/2, 7 1/3)

Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

Mean track length for this rock specimen is between 10.463 and 13.537

Step-by-step explanation:

99% confidence interval for the mean track length for rock specimen can be calculated using the formula:

M±\frac{t*s}{\sqrt{N}} where

  • M is the average track length (12 μm) in the report
  • t is the two tailed t-score in 99% confidence interval (2.977)
  • s is the standard deviation of track lengths in the report (2 μm)
  • N is the total number of tracks (15)

putting these numbers in the formula, we get confidence interval in 99% confidence as:

12±\frac{2.977*2}{\sqrt{15}} =12±1.537

Therefore, mean track length for this rock specimen is between 10.463 and 13.537

Do you guys know how to multiply decimals because I can’t I forgot! What’s 87.8 Times 66.4
Mrac [35]
5829.92

you multiply it as you would regular numbers and then you count the places that the decimal is in front of. in this case it would be 2 numbers, then in the number you got by multiplying, move the decimal 2 places up

Paladinen [302]

Answer:

P(X = 0) = 0.25

P(X = 1) = 0.75

Step-by-step explanation:

A probability is the number of desired outcomes divided by the number of total outcomes.

The probability distribution of X.

3 red balls out of 4, one picked, so we can have either 0 red balls or 1 red ball. The probability disitribution is the probability of each outcome.

P(X = 0) = \frac{1}{4} = 0.25

P(X = 1) = \frac{3}{4} = 0.75
