Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

T = 5.8t² + 14t + 32 ( 0 ≤ t ≤4 )

a ) when t = 0 ( when car is turned on )

T = 32 ° F .

b ) When t = 2

T = 5.8t² + 14t + 32

= 5.8 x 2² + 14 x 2 + 32

= 23.2 + 28 + 32

= 83.2 ° F

c )

T = 80 ;  to find t = ?

80 = 5.8t² + 14t + 32

5.8t² + 14 t - 48 = 0

t = \frac{-14+/-(14^2-4\times 5.8\times -48)^\frac{1}{2} }{2\times 5.8}

t = 1.9 minutes  . approx .
