As Jane finds out that Adele is unhappy in her school she remembers and gets emotionally moved by this situation since she remembers how that felt for her when she was a little kid, and how much she would´ve liked that someone would´ve helped her move from that school, so she helps Adele move to a more pleasant school.
It means live in the moment. You can't change the past, so don't worry about it. The future does depend on what you're doing now, but belive it is good.
