P = 2w + 2h
factorise
P = 2 (w + h)
divide both sides by the coefficient of w + h
P ÷ 2 = 2 (w + h) ÷ 2
P/2 = w + h
make w the subject of the formula
w = h - p/2

Write the binomial expansion of (t-3)^5
postnew [5]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(t-3)^5 is the same as (t + (-3))^5

First:  t starts at the highest power and goes down and (-3) starts at the lowest power and goes up

Second: from the Pascal triangles take the coefficients  1  5  10  10  5  1

1*t^{5} (-3)^{0} + 5*t^{4} (-3)^{1} +10*t^{3} (-3)^{2} +10*t^{2} (-3)^{3} +5*t^{1} (-3)^{4} +1*t^{0} (-3)^{5}

Anything to power 0 is equal to 1

Negative number to an odd power is negative, to a even power is positive

t^{5}  -15t^{4}  +90t^{3}  -270t^{2}  +405t  -243

If a body moves in a straight line according to the law s = 24t + 3t^2 - t^3, where s is the distance measured in meters from th
Anastasy [175]
As the comments state, the velocity is the derivative of the position.

Therefore, the velocity as function of time is:

ds / dt = 24 + 6t - 3t^2.

That is a parabola whose maximum is (1,27). With that you know that the velocity will never be either 63 m/s or 81 m/s.

Also, you know that the velocity at t = 1 s is 27 m/s.

And, you can also find that the velocity at t = 3 is 15 m/s.

I am confident on that this analysis solves your question. Else, insert a comment.

The equation of the line of best fit of a scatter plot is y = _7x _ 2. What is the the y-intercept?
DaniilM [7]
The solution to your problem is as follows:

Since the equation of a line is:

y = mx + b; where m=slope, and b=y-intercept.

Therefore, the y-intercept of the line is -2.

Sharon wants to make a graph to show the relationship between the number of tickets sold and the price of tickets sold. She plot
Masteriza [31]

The statement that best describes the graph is “It will not be spread out across the entire coordinate plane because in Step 3 Sharon plotted the independent variable on the y-axis.”

To add, graphing is a powerful tool for representing and interpreting numerical data. In addition, graphs and knowledge of algebra can be used to find the relationship between variables plotted on a scatter chart.
