1. A gas has an initial volume of 13 L at a pressure of 1.8 atm. What will be the new pressure at a volume of 5 L?
adelina 88 [10]

Hey there!:

The law of boyle is used:

initial pressure ( P1 ) = ?

initial volume ( V1 ) = 13 L

final pressure ( P2 ) = 1.8 atm

final volme ( V2 ) = 5 L

P1 *V1 = P2 * V2

P1 * 13 = 1.8 * 5

P1 * 13 = 9

P1 = 9 / 13

P1 = 0.692 atm

Hope this helps!

Living things respire to stay alive. In the mitochondria, sugar is combined with oxygen to produce energy, water and carbon diox
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O

Explanation:

Cellular respiration occurs in the mitochondria of cells. It is a process in which sugar is combined with oxygen to produce energy, water and carbon dioxide. This is the major process by which energy is released in living organisms.

Aerobic respiration involves a series of chemical reactions. These reactions commence with sugar and oxygen then it produces carbon dioxide and water according to the reaction equation; C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O.

Which best describes Rutherford’s model of the atom? fish swimming in an aquarium a sports stadium with a marble at the center a
puteri [66]
Rutherford's model of the atom is also known as the planetary model because this is when he discovered the nucleus of the atom. He also discovered that the nucleus of the atom, located at the center of an atom, is only 1/3000th the size of the atom's diameter. Also, surrounding the nucleus is an electron cloud. Therefore, the best description of his model would be a sports stadium with a marble at the center.
