The Boy: 4.4 x 60 = 264ft per minute.  264 / 3 = 88yrds Per minute

The Fish: 12 x 5280 = 63360ft hr. 5280 / 60 = 1056ft minute 1056 / 3 = 352yrds

352 - 88 = 44 yards quicker then the boy.

44 x 3 = 132 feet quicker then the boy.

Answer:

The fish swims at a speed 264 yard per minute more than boy.

Step-by-step explanation:

A fish swims at a speed of 12 miles per hour

Speed of fish = 12 miles per hour

Given that

            3 ft = 1 yd

            5280 ft = 1 mi

             So 1 mile = 5280 ft = 1760 x 3 ft = 1760 yd

             1 hour = 60 minutes

Substituting

     \texttt{Speed of fish = }12 mph=\frac{12\times 1760}{60}=352yd/min

Speed of fish = 352 yard per minute.

A boy swims at a speed of 4.4 feet per second.

Speed of boy = 4.4 ft/s

\texttt{Speed of boy = }4.4ft/s=\frac{4.4\times 60}{3}=88yd/min

Speed difference = 352 - 88 = 264 yard per minute.

The fish swims at a speed 264 yard per minute more than boy.

Step-by-step explanation:

$8=1 pound of walnuts

$15-$8=$7

Suppose the 100 people in society X all know the same 10 facts, while the 10 people in society Z specialize, with each person kn
Ivan

Answer:

29 times

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Society X ;

Population = 100

Number of facts known = 10

Average fact known per person = known fact / population = 10 / 100 = 0.1

Society X:

Population = 19

Common fact known by 9 = 5

Specialized fact, known by 10 = 5 * 10 = 50

Total facts = common + specialized = 55

Average fact known per person = 55 / 19 = 2.8947368 fact per person

Number of times society Z is better :

2.8947368 / 0.1 = 28.947 times

Approximately 29 times

Find the measure of GE¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯. A. 14 B. 20 C. 15 D. 16
julsineya [31]

Answer:

D. 16

Step-by-step explanation:

GH^2 = GF \times GE

12^2 = 9 \times (9+x - 2)

144= 9 \times (7+x)

\frac{144}{9}= (7+x)

16= 7+x

16-7=x

9=x

GE = 9 + x - 2 = 9 + 9 - 2 = 18 - 2

GE = 16
