Monomer can be a good name of a molecule because it can form other molecules through reactions.

Explanation:

The organic molecule that is able to react with different molecules resulting in the formation of other molecules is the ‘monomer’. Its significant feature is its multiple functionality or poly functioning.

With this feature it can form chemical bonds with other monomers.  The feature of polymerization of condensation can be found in the monomers with more than two groups of atoms.
