there are two pizzas. Conor ate 1/4 of a pizza, Brandon ate 2/8, Tyler ate 3/4, and Audrey ate 4/8. who ate the most of the two
katovenus [111]
Let's say that each pizza is sliced into 8 equal sized pieces, I have to make all of the fraction have the denominator of 8.
Conor: 1/4 * 2/2 = 2/8
Tyler: 3/4 * 2/2 = 6/8
Brandon: 2/8
Audrey: 4/8
Then I'll put the fractions in order from least to greatest. 2/8, 2/8, 4/8, 6/8. Then you would have to multiply each fraction by 2 since there are two pizzas that have 8 equally sized pieces.
Brandon: 2/8 *2/2 = 4/16
Conor: 2/8 * 2/2 = 4/16
Audrey: 4/8 * 2/2 = 8/16
Tyler: 6/8 * 2/2= 12/16
This means that Tyler ate the most of the two pizzas.

A and b are the minutes spent on machine A and machine B, respectively.

a+b = 40
b = 40-a

8a + 6b = 300
8a + 6(40-a) = 300
8a + 240 - 6a = 300
2a = 60
a = 30
b = 40-a = 10

30 minutes on machine A and 10 minutes on machine B

Find the slope and y-intercept of the following graph.
Orlov [11]

Answer: y = -5*x + b

Step-by-step explanation:

A line is written as:

y = a*x + b

where a is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

IIf we have a line that passes through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) then the slope of the line is:

a = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

In this case we can see that the line passes through the points:

(0, 2) and (1, - 3)

Then the slope is:

a = (-3 - 2)/(1 - 0) = -5

Then our line is:

y = -5*x + b

And when x = 0, y = 2 then:

y = 2 = -5*0 + b

2 = b

Our line is:

y = -5*x + b

A concession stand charges $2.50 for a bag of popcorn. The stand has already sold 30 bags of popcorn. How many more bags x of po
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

The concession stands needs to sell 14 or more bags.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Cost per bag of popcorn = $2.50

Number of bags already sold = 30

Cost of 30 bags = 30*2.50 = $75

Bags needs to be sold to make $110 = x

2.50x + 75 ≥ 110

2.50x ≥ 110-75

2.50x ≥ 35

Dividing both sides by 2.50

\frac{2.50x}{2.50}\geq \frac{35}{2.50}\\x\geq 14

Hence,

The concession stands needs to sell 14 or more bags.
