Answer:

Greater

Explanation:

Weathering can be defined as the physical and chemical breakdown of rock into smaller pieces called sediment. Weathering can be classified into two categories namely;

- Physical weathering is the process of breaking rocks into pieces without affecting its chemical composition e.g temperature, abrasion and frost action.

- Chemical weathering is the process of breaking rocks into pieces by chemical action which leads to changes in its chemical composition e.g carbonation, hydration, plant acid and oxidation.

Since the large rock is broken into several smaller pieces. comparing this rate of weathering of the large rock, the rate of weathering of the smaller pieces will be greater.

Answer:

Greater

Explanation:

Large rocks have less surface area for their volume than small rocks.

Therefore, a smaller portion of the rock is exposed to weathering.

It takes longer for the rock to wear away. The small rock has more surface

area for its volume, so it weathers away faster.every time the rock breaks into

smaller pieces its surface area or part exposed to weathering is increased.

What is the numerical value of Kc for the following reaction if the equilibrium mixture contains 0.51 M
Goryan [66]

The numerical value of Kc is 1.129 x10^4

 Explanation

C3H6O +4O2→ 3 CO2 + 3H2O

KC is the ratio of concentration of the product over the reactant.

Each concentration of product and reactant are raised to the power of its coefficient.

Therefore the KC expression of equation above is

Kc=[ (Co2)^3 (H2O)^3] / [(C3H6O) (O2)^4)]

Kc =[(1.8^3) x (2.0^3)] / [(0.51) x (0.30^4)] =1.129 x10^4

A cube has a mass of 42 grams and a volume of 15 cubic centimeters. What is it’s density?
deff fn [24]

Answer:

2.8g/cm³

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of cube = 42g

Volume of cube = 15cm³

Unknown:

Density of the cube = ?

Solution:

Density is defined as the mass per unit volume of a substance. It is mathematically expressed as:

Density = \frac{mass}{volume}

So;

Density = \frac{42}{15} = 2.8g/cm³

Please help! Find the distance to each destination in AU. Use the correct conversion factor.
Zepler [3.9K]

Explanation:

The question involves converting from one unit (Kilometres) to another unit (Astronomical unit)

The relationship between both units is given as;

1 Km = 6.68459e-9 Au

Kulper belt

6.5 billion km = 6.5e9 Km

1 Km = 6.68459e-9 Au

6.5e9 Km = x

Solving for x;

x = 43.45 Au

Alpha Centauri

44 trillion km = 4.4e13

1 Km = 6.68459e-9 Au

4.4e13 km = x

Solving for x;

x = 294121.83 Au
