Answer:  The sketching method of the given graph is shown in the below explanation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given function, f(x) = 4(1/2)^x  -------(1)

Since it is an exponential function.( because it is the type of y = a.b^x)

here, the horizontal asymptote, y=0

And, it having x intercept (0,4)

But it does not have any y- intercept.

Also, it is a decreasing function because here b<1.

Now, we can draw it with help of putting some values of x in equation (1)

For x= 1, y= 2 and x=2, y=1

for x=-1, y=8  and, x=-2, y= 16

Thus points are (1,2), (2,1), (-1,8) and (-2,16).

When an object is thrown upwards with a speed of 64 ft/sec, its height above the ground is given by the function h(t)=−16t2+64t
Svet_ta [14]

Answer:

The object will reach its highest point 0.5 seconds after it has been thrown.

Step-by-step explanation:

The object reaches its maximum height when velocity is equal to zero, the velocity is the derivative of function height. That is:

v(t) = \frac{d}{dt}h(t) (1)

Where v(t) is the velocity of the object at time t, in feet per seconds.

If we know that h(t) =-16\cdot t^{2}+64\cdot t and v(t) = 0\,\frac{ft}{s}, then the time when object reaches its highest point is:

v(t) = -32\cdot t+64

-32\cdot t + 64 = 0

t = 0.5\,s

The object will reach its highest point 0.5 seconds after it has been thrown.

➷ Work out the cost per gram

60/125 = 0.48

It costs 0.48 cents per gram

Multiply this by 100 to get the answer:

0.48 x 100 = 48

It would cost 48 cents
