I would say that support is crucial, especially family support for people with eating disorders. For example, those people who are under a lot of stress may eat too much and thus gain too much weight, whereas those who are depressed may eat too little so lose weight and both conditions can be helped by moral support and helping the afflicted person seek help as in medical help, massage, energy healing etc to help relieve their stress.
