Identify two physiological reactions that Rachel could have used to operationalize the dependent variable
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Hello. You did not present the experiment to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for me to give you an answer. However, when searching for your question on the internet, I was able to find another question exactly the same as yours, which showed that Rachel was studying the causes and consequences of treating mental illness in patients with generalized anxiety disorder. In this experiment, she gave each participant an untested drug, a placebo and a nocebo and assessed how these substances altered the arousal of the sympathetic nervous system one week before and one week after the study.

If that is the case with her question, the two reactions that Rachel could use to operate the dependent variable would be placebo and nocebo.

We can reach this conclusion because both the nocebo and the placebo do not generate real effects in the participants, but it causes psychological effects, imagined by the patient, against the real medicine. In this case, both the placebo and the nocebo are capable of provoking pisological effects in the excitation of the sympathetic nervous system of the patients. Within an experiment, the variable that has the power to provoke something is the independent variable and it is this variable that allows the researcher to operate the dependent variable. In this case, we can consider that the nocebo and the placebo are the independent variables that can manipulate the dependent variable, which is the sympathetic nervous system excitation.

How did the New Deal benefit New Mexico’s youth?
Triss [41]

The New Deal was a series of programs comissioned by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, between 1933 and 1938. This aimed to promote economic recovery led from the Great Depression of 1929, mostly to help the poorest people of the U.S. territory, giving work to Americans through federal job programs for the un employed and education for the one who need it.

Among the most poorest states of the U.S. was New Mexico. These programs were especially needed there, the different programs attempted to give immediate relief to those who were in need of help but in the long run attempted to revitalize the economy and cultural production of the state.

New Deal sponsored and created the National Youth Administration (NYA). This agency aimed to provide work and education for youth Americans between 16 and 25 years old. This helped youth Americans in New Mexico with education and relief to a great vital sector of the population.

One way in which Robespierre and Napoleon are similar is that they both?
Maru [420]
Both of them thought they were doing the right thing for their country, France. Napoleon was a general and he thought that he was doing his best fighting for his country but without realizing it he was hurting the country at one point. His main focus was in warfare that he could not care any less for the rest of the ruling (reason behind the selling of Louisiana is 1803). Robespierre thought he could be a good leader for France and in a way challenge the French but he ended up hurting and murdering many people by not being judged in the correct way. They hurt the French thinking they were doing more well than harm.
