Answer:

C. 90°

Step-by-step explanation:

To map point A to B from the middle of the square say we are using a compass from a mathematical set

Now from the point A of the square place the needle point of compass and strike an arc in the square using an arbitrary adjustment of the compass

With same adjustment place the needle side of the compass at point B and strike another arc to bisect the first arc,

Let say this third point is O

using a ruler and a pencil join the three points.

By inspection Points A and B are now 45° each. This is because sum of angles in a square is 90° and we just bisected A and B into two

From inspection also

ABO is a triangle

If A and B are 45°each then O is 90°

This is because sum of angles in a triangle is 180 °

45+45+90=180°

Hence the angle of rotation about the center that maps A and B is 90°

Find the surface area of a sphere with a radius of 30 m. leave your answer in terms of pi @Directrix
insens350 [35]
The formula for surface area of a sphere: A = 4 pi r^2.
Since the radius is 30 m then A = 4pi30^2.
 30^2 x 4 =3600
 A=3600pi m

a ferris wheel rotates 9pi/8 radians prior to making a stop the total height of the ferris wheel is 246 ft how far around did th
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

ferris wheel travel approx = 434.72 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

wheel rotates = 9pi/8 radians

total height of the ferris wheel =  246 ft

solution

we can say here that height of the ferris wheel is same as the diameter of the wheel

and wheel is circular in shape

so we get here first radius of wheel that is

radius = half of diameter    ..........................1

put here value and we get

radius = 0.5 × 246

radius = 123 ft

and

wheel travel distance = length of arc by a angle of wheel rotates

so here length of arc will be

arc length = radius × wheel rotates angle   .....................2

put here value and we get

arc length  = 123 × \frac{9\pi }{8}

arc length = 434.7178 ft

so ferris wheel travel approx = 434.72 ft
