In Chapter 7, of "Animal Farm", by George Orwell, the historical circumstance that most likely influenced the writing of this passage <em>is tyranny during Stalin's dictatorship, in which he distorted the tenets of communism</em>. In this passage Clover states it clearly "...this was not what they had aimed at when...overthrow of the human race." Animal Farm shows the corruption of Animalistic ideals by those in power and the oppression of their equals.
