Answer: The balanced chemical equation is written below.

Explanation:

Single displacement reaction is defined as the reaction in which more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its chemical reaction.

The reactivity of metal is determined by a series known as reactivity series. The metals lying above in the series are more reactive than the metals which lie below in the series.

A+BC\rightarrow AC+B

Metal A is more reactive than metal B.

Tin lies above in the series than hydrogen. So, it displaces hydrogen from its chemical reaction and releases hydrogen gas.

The chemical reaction of tin and hydroiodic acid follows the equation:

Sn(s)+2HI(aq.)\rightarrow SnI_2(aq.)+H_2(g)

Hence, the balanced chemical equation is written above.

Sn lies early in series (check picture) as compared with Hydrogen, hence it is possible to displace H₂ from acid so the reaction will occur.
The reaction is:
       Sn(s) + 2 HCl(aq) → SnCl₂(aq) + H₂(g)

Which car has the highest kinetic energy if each car is traveling at a speed of 1 m/s? Explain how you arrived at your answer.
KiRa [710]

Car D

Because it is the heaviest. Kinetic energy is directly proportional to the velocity and mass of the object. All the cars have the same velocity. But Car D has the most mass. So, it has most kinetic energy, because more the mass more the energy.

The 1995 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was shared by Paul Crutzen, F. Sherwood Rowland, and Mario Molina for their work concerning th
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

-162,5 kJ/mol

Explanation:

Cl(g) + 2O2(g) --> ClO(g) + O3(g) ΔH = 122.8 kJ/mol (as we used the reaction in the opposite direction, it will turn the enthalpy from exothermic to endothermic)

2O3(g) --> 3O2(g)   ΔH = -285.3 kJ/mol

  Cl(g) + O2(g) --> ClO(g) + O3(g)  ΔH = 122.8 kJ

+ 2O3 (g)          --> 3O2(g)              ΔH = - 285.3 kJ

O3(g) + Cl(g)     --> ClO(g) + 2O2(g)  ΔH = 122.8 + (-285.3) = -162,5 kJ

How many atoms are in the product of the following reaction? 2KClO3 ⇋ 2KCl + 3O2 6 8 5 10
denis-greek [22]

Answer:

10 is the answer.

Explanation:

Balancing is making the number of atoms of each element same on both the sides (reactant and product side).

To find the number of atoms of each element we multiply coefficient × subscript

For example  5 Ca_1 Cl_2 contains

5 × 1 = 5 , Ca atoms and

5 × 2 = 10, Cl atoms

If there is a bracket in the chemical formula

For example 3Ca_3 (P_1 O_4 )_2 we multiply coefficient × subscript × number outside the bracket.......... to find the number of atoms (Please note: 3 is the coefficient, and if there is no number given then 1 will be the coefficient )

So 3 × 3 = 9, Ca atoms

3 × 1 × 2 = 6, P atoms

3 × 4 × 2 = 24, O atoms are present.

Product side contains 2KCl+3O_2

2, K

2, Cl

6, O

So totally 2 + 2 + 6 = 10 atoms present on the product side
