4/7=1/2+x

Find a common demominator. ( sorry I spelled it wrong)
8/14=7/14+x

Subtract 7/14 from each side.
8/14-7/14=7/14-714+x
1/14=x

Answer:

\frac{1}{14}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{4}{7} is the result when 1/2 and x are added.

Frame an equation using the given statement

\frac{4}{7} =\frac{1}{2}+x

To solve the equation for x , subtract 1/2 on both sides

\frac{4}{7} - \frac{1}{2}=x

To add or subtract fractions, the denominator should be same

LCD is 14

\frac{8}{14} - \frac{7}{14}=x

Now subtract the fractions

\frac{1}{14}=x

\frac{4}{7} is the result when 1/2 and  \frac{1}{14} are added.

What is the slope intercept form of the equation of 6x+5y=-15
Soloha48 [4]
Slope intercept form is \sf y=mx+b, where 'm' is the slope and 'b' is the y-intercept.

\sf 6x+5y=-15

Subtract 6x to both sides:

\sf 5y=-6x-15

Divide 5 to both sides:

\boxed{\sf y=-\dfrac{6}{5}x-3}
