Answer:

The number of days is approximately 8.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A medical scientist has a 15-gram sample of I-13, And would like to know it's half-life in days. he also knows that k=0.0856.

To find : The half-life, in days, of I-131 using the information at the left?

Solution :

The decay model is given by  N=N_0e^{-Kt}

We have given that,

The substance's half-life is the time it takes for the substance to decay to half its original amount.

i.e. N=\frac{N_0}{2}

The value of k is k=0.0856.

Substitute the values in the formula,

 N=N_0e^{-Kt}

 \frac{N_0}{2}=N_0e^{-(0.0856)t}

 \frac{1}{2}=e^{-(0.0856)t}

Taking natural log both side,

 \ln\frac{1}{2}=\ln e^{-(0.0856)t}

 -\ln2=-(0.0856)t\ln e

 t=\frac{-\ln2}{-0.0856}

 t=8.09

Therefore, The number of days is approximately 8.

write an equation of the line that passes through -3,0 and has a slope of 6 put your answer in standard form
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

y=-9

Step-by-step explanation:

slope intercept form: y=mx+b, m being the slope

y=6 times -3

since there isn't a y intercept, you can't really put it in standard form unless I missed a step.

y= -9

<em>Translate into an algebraic equation:-</em>

<em>The quotient of a number and 5.</em>

<em />

<em />\dashrightarrow\large\blue\textsf{\textbf{\underline{Answer and how to solve:-}}}

✳︎ First, the word "quotient" indicates that we divide.

Here, we have the quotient of a number and 5, so we divide the number by 5; let the number be d.

So the quotient of d and 5 looks as follows:-

\bold{\dfrac{f}{5}}

<h3>Good luck with your studies.</h3>

\rule{300}{1}

Find the coordinates of the circumcenter for triangle DEF with coordinates D(1,3) E(8,3) and F(1,-5) show your work
nikklg [1K]

One leg is horizontal, on the line y=3. Another leg is vertical, on the line x=1. The point where these intersect, D(1, 3) is the vertex of a right angle. Any right triangle inscribed in a circle has its hypotenuse as the diameter of the circle.

Since the triangle is a right triangle, the circumcenter is the midpoint of the hypotenuse: ((8, 3) + (1, -5))/2 = (4.5, -1).
