We have found one solution to the equations that the two equations intersect at the point (2.5,-1.5).

<h3>What are equations?</h3>

The equation is actually a relationship between the numbers and the variables. In this question we have two equations y=2x²-6x+1 and y=-x+1 so by equating them we can find the value of x which is the intersecting point of the two lines.

Now the solution of the equations:-

y=2x²-6x+1

y=-x+1

2x²-6x+1 = -x+1

2x²=5x

x=5/2=2.5

y=-2.5+1=-1.5

Hence the one solution to the equations that the two equations intersect at the point (2.5,-1.5).

(1) let "r" denote number of rabbits, "c"  number of chickens

Set up the equations:

r + c = 1000\\4r + 2c = 3150\\\\-2r -2c = -2000\\4r + 2c = 3150\\\\2r = 1150\implies r = 575\implies c = 425

Answer: There are 575 rabbits and 425 chickens

(2) m - number of Mike's stamps, a - number of Andrew's stamps.

Set up equations:

m = 4a\\m-8 = 2(a+8)\\\\4a-8=2a + 16\\2a = 24\implies a = 12\implies m = 48\\

Answer:  Mike has 48 stamps. Andrew has 12 stamps.

What is the greatest common factor of 60 and 72
Tcecarenko [31]
Well there both even numbers so the gcf factor would have to be even also

60 = 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20,30,60

72 = 1,2,3,4,6,8,9,12,18,24,36,72

The Gcf would be 12

identify the postulate or theorem that proves the triangles congruent. AAS, SAA, ASA, The triangles cannot be proven congruent
nirvana33 [79]
AAS and SAA don't prove congruence.
You can have two triangles that have AAS or SAA and are not congruent.

From this picture, these triangles are congruent by ASA .

a customer went to a garden shop and bought some potting soil for $11.50 and 9 shrubs. the total bill was $94.75. write and solv
Mrac [35]
To answer this problem, let p be the price of each scrub. The total bill (t) is the sum of the price of the potting soil (s) and of the 9 scrubs (n). This is depicted in the equation,
                                 $11.50 + 9p = $94.75
The value of p from the equation is 9.25. Thus, each scrub costs $9.25. The answer is letter C.
