Pyramids were builts by slaves for their pharaohs or kings. Royalties were mummified when dead and buried with their treasures. It was believed that when pharaohs die, part of their spirit remain in their bodies. Hence, pyramids were built to take care of the spirit.
The main religion in India is Hinduism. Polytheism is the belief in more than one god. Religion is a major role in Indian's lives. They have to pray more than once a day and perform many religious ceremonies.
