we know that

A machine produces 75 widgets an hour

How many widgets does it produce in 6 minutes?

one hour is equal to ------> 60\ minutes

by proportion

\frac{75}{60}  =\frac{x}{6}   \\\\  60*x= 75*6\\\\  x=\frac{75*6}{60}

x=7.5\ widgets

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

A machine produces 7\ widgets in 6 minutes

75/60 is 1.25 and 1.25 times 6 is 7.5 but you can't produce a half widget so it is just 7

Can you solve this for me please in a good way
zhannawk [14.2K]

Answer:

x = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

If you factor out 1/9 you get rid of the fractions and that makes the equation a whole lot easier.

(5x+10)^2 - x(25x+27) + 46 = 0

Next, eliminate the brackets:

25x^2 +100x + 100 - 25x^2 - 27x + 46 = 0

Combine the terms:

x = \frac{- 146}{73} = -2
