The answer is $350.46
 steps:
the original price is $620
so first you were discounted 30% so :
620*30%=186 ( this tells you how much money was taken off after the 30% discount)
then you subtract that from the original amount ( 620-186= 434)
now your new amount is $434 so your next discounted amount was 15% repeat the same process: 434*15%=65.1 then (434-65.1=368.9)
finally, you multiply 368.9 with 5% ( 368.9 *5%= 18.445)
--> continue as you did before ( 368.9-18.445=350.455) round it to nearest cent you get your final answer 350.46

Determine the equation of the line that passes through the given points. (If you have a graphing calculator, you can use the tab
expeople1 [14]

<span>
You can write the equation in point-slope form, which has the format <em>y-y</em>subscript1=<em>m</em>(<em>x-x</em>subscript1), with <em>y</em>subscript1 and <em>x</em>subscript1 being the y and x coordinates for a point on the line, and <em>m</em> being the slope. </span>

<span /><span>Substitute a y and x coordinate into the equation so you have <em>y</em>-6=<em>m</em>(<em>x</em>-2)</span>

<span /><span><span>Then find the slope so you can replace <em>m</em>. The slope formula is <em />(<em>y</em>subscript2-<em>y</em>subscript1)/(<em>x</em>subscript2-<em>x</em>subscript1). </span><span>Substitute the coordinates in so you have <em>m</em>=(16-6)/(4-2), which simplifies to 10/2 and then 5.</span></span>

<span><span /></span><span>Now the equation is <em>y</em>-6=5(<em>x</em>-2)</span>

<span />If you want a different form, for example slope-intercept form, you can change it to that:

<span><em>y</em>-6=5(<em>x</em>-2)</span>

<span><em>y</em>=5x-4</span>

A tablet computer costs $189.69 including tax. It is marked up 30%.
Alina [70]
The correct answer is D. $246.6
(It is actually $246.597 but that is rounded to 246.6)
$189.69 x .3 = 56.907
$189.69 + $56.907 = $246.597

Can someone tell me if i did this right? im also not sure which one is the scale factor.
PIT_PIT [208]
If you are moving the center of circle 2 to the the center of circle 1, then the translation rule is (x,y) ---> (x+4, y+10).
Note how x = 1 turns into x = 5. So we add 4
Also, y = -2 turns into y = 8. We add 10

The scale factor to turn the radius r = 4 into r = 8 is 2. Basically we double the radius. We can divide the two radii to see 8/4 = 2

----------------------------------

Summary:
To go from circle 2 to circle 1, we apply these two transformations
translation: (x,y) ---> (x+4, y+10)
dilation: scale factor 2

note:
if you want to go backwards, go from circle 1 to circle 2, then undo the transformations above
