Answer:

 (f + 8) • (f + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Factoring  f2+10f+16

The first term is,  f2  its coefficient is  1 .

The middle term is,  +10f  its coefficient is  10 .

The last term, "the constant", is  +16

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • 16 = 16

Step-2 : Find two factors of  16  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   10 .

     -16    +    -1    =    -17

     -8    +    -2    =    -10

     -4    +    -4    =    -8

     -2    +    -8    =    -10

     -1    +    -16    =    -17

     1    +    16    =    17

     2    +    8    =    10    That's it

Step-3 : Rewrite the polynomial splitting the middle term using the two factors found in step 2 above,  2  and  8

                    f2 + 2f + 8f + 16

Step-4 : Add up the first 2 terms, pulling out like factors :

                   f • (f+2)

             Add up the last 2 terms, pulling out common factors :

                   8 • (f+2)

Step-5 : Add up the four terms of step 4 :

                   (f+8)  •  (f+2)

            Which is the desired factorization

The answer is choice A

The sample space is basically the set of all possible outcomes. Each outcome is a pair of results from drawing a card coupled with spinning a spinner.

Table A represents all of the possible outcomes properly. The card results are along the column on the left side. The spinner results along the row up at the top. Each cell is an intersection of the left and top result. For example, row1,column3 has "red,purple" to indicate you got "red" on the spinner and "purple" on the card. Each cell in table A is correctly labeled.

The other tables (B, C, D) are improperly labeled in at least one cell.
* Table B has "blue, green" in the top row" middle cell when it should be "blue, purple"

* Table C has "green, green" in the upper left corner when it should be "green, purple"

* Table D has "blue, blue" in the bottom middle cell when it should be "blue, green". Saying "blue,blue" is impossible as there isn't a blue card.

The three items mentioned above help us eliminate choices B through D.

Solve for x.<br> 5. 150 - (2x + 90) = 4x
GrogVix [38]
X=10

First, remove the parentheses so it could turn into 150-2x-90=4x (the plus sign gets turned into a minus sign because of a certain rule.

Then do 150-90 which will result in 60-2x=4x.

Then subtract -4x on both sides. This will leave you with 60-6x=0.

Next, subtract 60 in both sides. This will leave you with -6x=-60.

Finally, divide by -6 on both sides. This will leave you with the answer x=10.

Two different sized triangles have a scale factor of 2:3. If the hypotenuse ( the longest side ) of the bigger triangle measures
OlgaM077 [116]

Answer:

16 in

Step-by-step explanation:

The 3 part of the ratio represents 24 inches.

Dividing by 3 gives the value of one part of the ratio.

24 in ÷ 3 = 8 in ← value of 1 part of the ratio, thus

2 parts = 2 × 8 in = 16 in ← hypotenuse of smaller triangle

How would you graph the solution set of the system of inequalities {3y≤2x+6} { 2x+y&gt;0}
7nadin3 [17]
1) Solve the first inequality

3y ≤ 2x + 6

=> y ≤ 2x/3 + 2

2) Draw the line y = 2x/3 + 2

3) Shade the region below the line y = 2x/3 + 2

4) Solve the inequality 2x + y > 0

=> y > - 2x

5) draw the line y = -2x

6) Shade the region above the line y = -2x

7) The solution is the region between the two lines shaded including the portion of the line y = 2x/3 + 2
