The constitutional changes to the presidency are under 22nd Amendment of the constitution of United States and it restricts president to serve more than 2 terms of 4 years along with provides restrictions on how long a President can be in the office and the election of the President in 12th amendment was also part of it.

Further Explanation:-

The 22nd Amendment of the constitution of the United States sets limits on the number of times an individual can apply and is eligible for the post of President and also limits the eligibility conditions for the Presidents who succeeded in the unexpired terms with regards to their predecessors.

Before this amendment came into effect, there was no limit imposed on the term limits and it was former President, George Washington who established and introduced this two-term system which was followed after that till now.

The concerns with regards to the number of presidential terms came when in the presidential election of 1940 and 1944, Former President Franklin D. Roosevelt became the first president to win third and fourth term and that was when this issue came to rise of a president serving the unlimited number of terms.

Congress came up with the 22nd amendment in the United States Constitution on the year 1947 and after ratification from the State legislatures; it was completed on 27 Feb 1951. This amendment prohibits any individual who is elected as a President from serving no more than two terms.

Read the following excerpt from the Epic of Gilgamesh. Which phrase suggests that Gilgamesh ruled over a monarchy?
blagie [28]

Correct answer:

D. "This was the king who knew the countries of the world."

King and monarch are synonyms. "Monarch" means "one ruler" or "sole ruler." In a monarchy, a king or queen rules with supreme authority over a country or region.

The Epic of Gilgamesh comes from ancient Mesopotamia, dating back to around 2100 BC. It is one of the oldest surviving examples of ancient literature, a compilation of poems telling the story of Gilgamesh, king of the Mesopotamian city-state Uruk.

Compare and contrast the roles of slaves and freemen in the Roman Republic In Only Three Sentences.
True [87]

Answer: ik you said only one but couldent help it

Explanation:

1. Roman slavery was not based on race so sometimes it was hard to differ if someone was a slave or not (everyone looked similar).

2. Both roles are pretty similar except for the fact that slaves are forced into labor work and freed men work on their own free will and are treated better.

3. Slaves are abused and treated badly and freemen aren't.

4. Slaves were used in all forms of work except for public office.

5. Often times employed men and slaves would work together except that the free employed men would get paid and the slaves wouldn't (this usually happened when one cannot find enough slaves to work and can only conclude to using paid workers so that's when they end up getting mixed together).

The role of slaves and freemen seem very similar in a lot of aspects (despite the fact that slaves cannot work in public office) but they are ranked by their parents (if your parents are slaves then you're born a slave) and slaves can also be chosen out of something like a battle. If they lose they are taken in as slaves. What I'm trying to say is that freedom was not a right but a privilege for people in the Roman Republic. Things like battles were used to justify and confirm superiority over the losers and gave the winners divine right to rule over the losers (slaves) and treat them badly. At a point the slaves were practically invisible.
