Explanation:  The Great Sphinx in Giza is actually a sculpture with a <em>head of a human being</em> and a <em>lion's body</em>.   It represents one of the largest sculptures in the world and, according to scientific assumptions, dates back to the time of the Egyptian King Khafre, and the man's head of sphinx is in fact representing King Khafre himself. According to experts, the sphinx is carved out of one piece of limestone, over a period of about three years with the work of 100 workers.
