Juan inflates a balloon and then releases its end to let the balloon go free as air comes out. The balloon then flies around the

room. Which statement describes how this example is an application of Newton’s laws of motion?
 According to Newton’s first law of motion, the balloon continues moving until the forces on it are balanced.
According to Newton’s third law of motion, the balloon is pushed forward as the air is forced out.
According to Newton’s third law of motion, the balloon resists any change of motion unless an unbalanced force acts upon it.
According to Newton’s second law of motion, the balloon exerts a force on the air, which exerts a force back on the balloon.

The correct answer is option B. According to Newton’s third law of motion, the balloon is pushed forward as the air is forced out.

Newton's third law of motion states that to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The same law will apply on the balloon. As the air is forced out of the balloon it will exert an opposite force on the balloon which will cause the balloon to be pushed forward. If the air would not have caused an opposite force on the balloon causing it to be pushed forward it would have remained static. But, reaction of the outgoing air pressure made the balloon to move forward.

The generation of _______ occurs by chemiosmosis. DNA RNA NADP ATP
zavuch27 [327]

Answer;

ATP.

The generation of ATP occurs by Chemiosmosis.

Explanation;

In the electron transport chain, hydrogen ions in the matrix space can only pass through the inner mitochondrial membrane through a membrane protein called ATP synthase.

As these protons move through ATP synthase, ADP is turned into ATP.

The production of ATP using the process of chemiosmosis in mitochondria is called oxidative phosphorylation.

An actin-binding protein called cofilin binds preferentially to ADP-containing actin filaments rather than ATP-containing actin
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Cofilin binds to older actin filaments

Explanation:

Microfilaments (also called actin filaments) are a class of protein filament common to all eukaryotic cells, which consist of two strands of subunits of the protein actin. Microfilaments form part of the cell's cytoskeleton and interact with the protein myosin in order to allow the movement of the cell. Within the cell, actin may show two different forms: monomeric G-actin and polymeric F-actin filaments. Microfilaments provide shape to the cell because these filaments can depolymerize (disassemble) and polymerize (assembly) quickly, thereby allowing the cell to change its shape. During the polymerization process, the ATP that is bound to G-actin is hydrolyzed to ADP, which is bound to F-actin. ATP-actin subunits are present at the barbed ends of the filaments, and cleavage of the ATP molecules produces highly stable filaments bound to ADP. In consequence, it is expected that cofilin binds preferentially to highly stable (older) filaments ADP-actin filaments instead of ATP-actin filaments.
